Blog 141: YHWH-tsidkenu

Building on the last blog, the covenant Seed that falls to the ground, dies, and bears much fruit represents the Branch that grows from the dead stump of Israel. Through Yeshua’s death and resurrection, He brings life and fruitfulness to the human condition, raising us to become what He created us to be—His image bearers, shining forth life and healing while lovingly governing His good creation with the wisdom of righteousness. The power of God’s redeeming righteousness raised Lazarus from Sheol. The seventh name of YHWH is YHWH-tsidkenu, “God our Righteousness,” derived from two passages in Jeremiah 23:6 and 33:16. This blog explores how YHWH’s seventh name aligns perfectly with the theme of John’s seventh sign and the seventh Feast of YHWH.

Jer. 23:5 “Behold, the days are coming,” says YHWH,
“That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness,
A King shall reign and prosper,
And execute justice and righteousness in the earth.
6 In His days Judah will be saved,
And Israel will dwell safely;
Now this is His name by which He will be called: YHWH our righteousness.

Jer. 33:15 “In those days and at that time
I will cause to grow up to David
A Branch of righteousness;
He shall execute justice and righteousness in the earth.
16 In those days, Judah will be saved,
And Jerusalem will dwell safely.
And this is the name bny which she will be called: YHWH our righteousness.”

The Branch of Righteousness raised from David’s line is Yeshua, who administers justice and righteousness on the earth. Contextually, justice and righteousness refer to fulfilling the terms of the covenant. It means to rule wisely by eliminating the chaos that afflicts people and restoring uprightness or righteousness by delivering and protecting according to the covenant promises. Yeshua does these things, which allow us to become what He is, the perfect image of YHWH ruling the earth. The covenant relationship between each person and Yeshua is the change agent that puts us plumb. YHWH’s love for humanity reflects His faithfulness to the covenant and His righteousness. His rescue of humanity from exile, from the path of death, and His cleansing, purifying, raising, and giving us His spirit, embody His profound holiness, love, and uprightness.

God brings us into judgment, measuring how perpendicular we behave. He justifies us by taking away the burden of sin and harnessing us to Himself with His yoke to teach us the right way to go. In the wisdom of His judgment, He aligns every person to uprightness, giving us life and shielding us from death. Without His righteousness becoming ours, humans remain the living dead. What was crooked will be made straight; what is dead, He makes alive.

The Hebrew words for justice and righteousness, mishpat and tzedaqa, numerically reinforce the messianic message of Jeremiah. מִשְׁפָּט and צְדָקָה have a letter sum (429 + 199) of 628, which equals 4 × 157 or 222 + 122, the foundation (144 or 122) of the Word of God (222). In other words, the house (4) of the 37th prime and the 17th Pythagorean/perpendicular prime (157) signifies the victory (17) of YHWH names (37); 628 is 4(112 + 62), depicting the menorah light (121, 112) in the tent of meeting (36, 62). The function of His tabernacling with humanity, making us individually mini temples of His dwelling that shine forth His light of life, is to create us as just and vertical through the light of His Presence, His Holy Spirit. His righteousness and justice become our righteousness and justice, and together, we, taking on His name, form the house, the city of God, made without human hands.

Yeshua’s righteous love said, “Your son lives” in the second sign and called out to dead Lazarus, “This way out” in the seventh sign. It is Yeshua’s uprightness that tenderly said to His disciples, “Because I live, you will also live.” God’s very heart made an everlasting covenant of righteousness with Israel and humanity, in which there is no shadow of turning (leaning away from perpendicular). God’s justice heals His broken and sick creation by setting things right, making it teem with life. Because God is who He is, He cannot do otherwise. Through Isaiah, YHWH tells us, “In righteousness, you shall be established,” and “This is the heritage of YHWH’s servants, and their righteousness is from Me” (Isa. 54:14, 17).

Takeaway:
God is in the business of making all things upright and just. To do so, He is faithful to His covenant, saying, “I will help you” and “you will live.” There is only one road back to life: through the wilderness with the Creator. His justice and righteousness become our righteousness and the Camp of Israel’s holy righteousness, in which there is no death, the city of God, the New Jerusalem.

Fun Factors:
Like the Old Testament’s “Your dead shall live” (504, Isa. 26:19), “I AM bringing into you spirit, and you will live” (864, 2 × 432, Eze. 37:5), and “your son lives” (90, Elijah in 1Ki. 17:23), totaling 1458 = 272 + 272, “You will live” is the Bible’s code for God making the new covenant with Israel. The same sense is carried in Yeshua’s “Your son lives” (Jhn. 4:50, 51, 53, 2nd sign, sum 4447) and “Your brother will rise again” (John 11:23, 7th sign, sum 2626), totaling 7073, 83 + 38; 7 + 7 + 3 = 17, the fulness of victory; 7 × 7 × 3 = 147, Jacob’s years and Genesis 1’s creation time markers 1-4-7.

In the New Testament, “you will live” occurs three times (Jhn. 14:19, 1089, 332; Luk. 10:28, 233; Rom. 8:13, 1570), totaling 2892, 12 × 241, 12(152 + 42), pointing to restoring the camp or city of Israel’s twelve tribes. The Greek phrase “will live” has a letter sum of 434, the same as the Hebrew dalet, “the door.”

Yeshua’s “Because I live, you will live also” (Jhn. 14:19) has a letter sum of 3115, 15(82 + 52) or 15 × 89 (31, “El”; 15, the restoration number, 7 + 8, or 5 + 5 + 5, conveying perfecting holiness, 52, the door to a new beginning/creation, 82).

Jer. 32:5-6 has 116 letters in 28 words, totaling 6450, 3 × 52 × 86, the surety of Elohim’s holiness (86). Jer. 33:15-16 has 103 letters in 25 words, totaling 6055, 262 + 732, YHWH’s (26) power of wisdom (73). Together, they total 219 letters (3 × 73, wisdom), 53 words (garden), totaling 12505, 292 + 1082. The power of 29 is the 10th prime and 4th Pythagorean, 42 + 32 + 22; 432, from the heart of God, flows light, and the strength of 108 is 22 × 33, His sanctuary (33) house (22) full of life, chi, letter sum 18.

Isa. 54:14’s “In righteousness, you will be established” contains 11 letters and 2 words, totaling 737 (3 × 72 = 147). Verse 17’s “this is the inheritance of the servants of YHWH, and their righteousness is from Me, says YHWH” has 32 letters in 8 words, totaling 2953, 532 + 122. Together they have 43 letters in 10 words, totaling 3690, 572 + 212, 332 + 512, 51 = 3 × 17; 3690 equals 70 + … + 110, from the 70 of Israel and the 70 nations adding 40 numbers sequentially until the age of Joseph and Joshua (“YHWH is deliverance”), is Israel’s years in the wilderness. The factors of 110 are 5 × 17 × 137 (137 = 33rd/sup> prime, 112 + 42) and the sum of 52 + 62 + 72, the three days of the week, 5, 6, and 7 that Yeshua was in the grave and raised to life. Joseph to Joshua portrays Israel’s sojourn down into Egypt and ascent into the Land; both men are a type of Yeshua. The transformative wilderness trek with YHWH is numerically represented by the sum of three consecutive squares: the holy Camp of Israel, 52; the tabernacle tent of meeting, 62; and the journey of seven Sabbaths, 72.
